Fun in the Sun

July 7, 2008

Last week when we were having record setting temperatures here in Moses Lake I was out on a engagement session with an adorable couple, Stephanie and Mike.  The sand at the south end of the sand dunes was so hot we had to walk in water and then run to shade when we saw it.  It didn’t stop us from having fun and getting a few great shots.  Congratulations you two!! I’m looking forward to the wedding.

Family Sessions

June 29, 2008

Summer is the season for most of my family sessions.  I’ve had fun this last week shooting some children that I’ve been photographing for years now.  I love seeing these little people grow.  Saturday I was in Pasco at the beautiful  Promise garden  http://www.promise-garden.com/index.html with Miss K and her little sister Miss I. We knew it was going to be hot so we started early, but I think by 9:00am it was 90+ degrees so we tried to stay in the shade.  Even with the heat these beautiful girls had smiles for me most of our session.  My wonderful Sister Lori was there to help.  Thank you Lori!

This next session were Brothers from Moses Lake.  I’ve been photographing Mr. N and Mr. D since they were newborns.  I love this family, with most of my clients I enjoy the friendships that develop when I work with them.  Fortunately we had beautiful weather on the evening we shot this session, it was a few days before the heat wave.  My Daughter Kait assisted with this session and fell in love with little D.

Super Model Baby G!

June 23, 2008

Life has been a bit of a roller coaster the last couple of weeks.  I’m running a little behind but I wanted to get these adorable photos of baby G up ASAP. Ashley and I where with this little doll baby Friday and had a ball. She was in a great mood and had lots of smiles to share with us, but the biggest smiles came when her daddy sang to her, it was so sweet.  Baby G is a beauty just like her mom and grandma.

This was one of her little giggles!

I just wanted to share a few of my favorites from my second session with my son yesterday.

Engagement Session

June 5, 2008

Last weekend Ashley and I met with Jamie and Jason in Spokane for their engagement session.  The day started out with beautiful weather and ended up with a bang of thunder and a cloud burst.  Jamie was prepared with a cute green umbrella.  Here are a few images from our session with this adorable couple.

Benjamin

June 2, 2008

Family is everything in this life and in the next.  Today a dear friend of ours past away.  I will miss Tami. My love goes out to her family at this time.  Its during times like these that we turn our thoughts to our own lives and families and hold each other a little tighter and tell each other how much we love them more often. Ben is my second son and he’ll soon be leaving on a two year Mission.  I’m wanting to spend as much time as I can with him until he leaves on June 18th so today we went out and had a little quality time together and took a few pictures.  This was something I’ve been wanting to do for some time now since I didn’t get a chance to take senior pictures of him last year.  I know, shame on me for not getting this done for my son his senior year but I wasn’t the only one to blame.  I think every time I wanted to do it he had a different reason why it wasn’t a good time.  Here are a few of the images we took today and he’s promised we can do a few more later this week.

One more week until Graduation.  It’s been a great year!  I’ve enjoyed getting to know and photograph all of you.  This spring was a little hard, wind caused more then a few rescheduled sessions but when we were finally able to shoot it was worth the wait.  To the Class of 2008 I say ” Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”-Les Brown

Ashley and I have been so busy and loving every minute of last minute senior sessions this year.  I shot a mini session with Chazz this winter and couldn’t wait for our spring session, she can work the camera and seems to love every minute of it.  Ashley and I came up with a great location for this session, the apple orchard was in full bloom. It was the perfect place with lots of room to show off Chazz’s beautiful prom dress and bass.  I’m so glad her dad came along to set up and lift the bass.  I think he had as much fun as we did, you could tell he adores his daughter.

It was a little windy… no, a lot windy but we made it work.  After we had fun with her prom dress she put on another outfit to play in, I loved her bumble bee boots!

Thanks for the great session Chazz, Ashley and I are still talking about how much fun we had!

Katlin Class of 2008

April 28, 2008

Last week we had to reschedule a few senior sessions due to the wind.  Katlin’s was the only session we were able to keep on the day we originally scheduled. The location Katlin chose was her grandfather’s backyard on Moses Lake. It was a perfect setting with many picturesque spots. Katlin’s creamy skin glowed in the sunlight. The close ups were my favorite, her personality came alive in her eyes. Congratulations Katlin graduation is just around the corner!

Noah Class of 2008

March 25, 2008

Ashley and I had a great time working with Noah today.  He and his family have been great clients of mine for years.  I photographed both of his older sisters weddings and fell in love with the whole family.  I think the best part of being a photographer is getting to know such great people.  Noah is personality plus and my camera loved him.  Here are a few of my favorite images from today’s session.  I posted a youtube slide-show.  I don’t like the quality of youtube but until I find a better way of uploading my slide shows it will have to do.  Congratulations Noah!
